Well to be successful at anything you need to be passionate about it, you have to give it time to grow. If you are doing that only because of money then one day or other, you are going to fail.
For youtube, your first aim would be attracting a decent audience, the first thousand subscribers are the hardest. You need to have patience. Keep posting videos at a regular interval without a break. Now, I don't say to post daily but be regular. Your regularity will bring subscribers to you.
Finally work hard enough and one day you will sure succeed, make quality content and people will come to see your stuff. Passion for your work and regularity is all you need.
